Burglary Investigation
Agency: Sheldon Police Dept        

The Sheldon Police Department is investigating a burglary at His and Her Hair Salon in Sheldon. The burglary occurred between
11:00 PM on August 12, 2007 and 5:00 AM on August 13, 2007. The suspects gained entry to the business by breaking the glass in
the door, which then allowed them to unlock it. Once inside the suspects removed the cash register with a small amount of
change. The cash register has since been recovered at another location in Sheldon.


The Crime Dusters program is offering a $200 reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that leads to the arrest and
conviction of the offender.

Criminal Mischief / Trespassing
Agency: Sheldon Police Department

The Sheldon Police Department is investigating several incidents in which large inflatable swimming pools have had their sides slashed with
a sharp instrument causing the pool to deflate and the water and chemicals to drain onto the ground. In each instance this has resulted in
several hundred dollars in damage. The first incident is believed to have occurred between 1:00AM and 6:00AM on August 16th in the 400
block of 8th St.. The second incident is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours of August 17th into August 18th   in the 1100
block of 8th St.

The Crime Dusters program is offering a $150.00 reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that leads to the arrest and conviction
of the offender.

Burglary Investigations
Agency: O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office & Sheldon Police Department

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Sheldon Police Department are investigating two business burglaries on the northeast side
of Sheldon. The businesses that were broken into were Superior Equipment & Rental and S2 Computer Solutions. The burglaries
occurred during the late evening hours of September 26, 2007 and into the early morning hours of September 27, 2007.

The suspect or suspects are believed to have entered Superior Equipment & Rental through a door. The suspects gained entry to S2
Computer Solutions by forcing open a window on the business. The victims reported that cash was  missing from their businesses
.

The Sheldon Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation of a series of vandalism incidents in the
city of Sheldon. The incidents have occurred during the past several weeks and involve the spray painting of graffiti on the sides
of businesses, buildings in the city park and the train depot.

The Crime Dusters program is offering a $225.00 reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that leads to the arrest
and conviction of the offenders.

You may provide information on this crime or any other crimes by calling the Sheldon Police Department at 712-324-2525 or the
O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office at 712-957-3415. Upon calling you will be put in contact with a police officer that will take your

Theft Investigation
Agency: Sanborn Police Department  & O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office

The Sanborn Police Department is investigating the theft of a blue 2006 Polaris 600HO snowmobile from Harry’s Motor in
Sanborn. The snowmobile was owned by a customer and had been left outside the business for repairs. The snowmobile did
not have an exhaust system on it causing it to be exceptionally loud.  The snowmobile is believed to have been taken between
10:00 PM on January 12, 2008 and 2:00PM on January 13, 2008.

The O’Brien County Crime Dusters program is offering a $225 cash reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that
leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender.

Criminal Mischief Investigation
Agency: O'Brien County Sheriff's Office

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate vandalism incidents that occurred in Primghar. Both incidents
resulted in damage to the same vehicle. The first incident occurred on the late evening of January 17, 2008 into the early morning
hours of January 18, 2008. In this incident the suspect poured approximately six gallons of water into the gas tank of a car while it
was parked at a residence in Primghar. The second incident occurred in the late evening hours of January 31, 2008 into the early
morning hours of February 1, 2008. In the second incident the suspect intentionally broke out the windshield and passenger side
window of the car while it was parked in front of a bar in Primghar.

The O’Brien County Crime Dusters program is offering a $150.00 cash reward to anyone who provides information on these crimes
that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender.

occurred between 10:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2008 and 6:00 AM on Friday, July 4, 2008. The suspects attempted to gain
entry into the building by breaking a window in a walk-in door.
