The property (126 N Washington Ave, Sheldon, IA 51201) as listed in the Notice of Sheriff’s Levy and Sale below will be sold at Sheriff’s sale on December 2, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. The sale will take place in the lobby of the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office. The successful bidder should be prepared to pay for the property at the time of the sale by certified check or cashier’s check from their lending institution.
There is no redemption period for all defendants except the defendant of the United States of America, Rural Housing Service, which is entitled to a 12 month period of redemption. As a result of this redemption period, the winning bidder will be issued a certificate of purchase which cannot be redeemed for a Sheriff’s Deed until one year after the sale.
