Inmate visitation is seven days a week by appointment only. You must call and arrange a time for visitation with the jail at 712-957-5245.
Inmates are informed of visitation rules and are responsible for relaying this information to those who wish to visit them.
Government-issued photo identification or state-issued ID card must be presented by each adult visitor. Visitors who do not have proper identification will not be permitted to visit unless prior authorization is granted, which will be on a one by one basis.
All visitors will be checked against the inmate’s visitor list to ensure they are approved. Jail staff will also require visitors to produce a state issued personal photo identification such as a driver’s license or a state ID card, prior to the visitation the first time to verify identity, if not known by jail staff. Any individual who did not have a warrant check run on them during the approval process due to lack of information will have it run at this time, with random checks thereafter. All visitors and articles are subject to search. Any person refusing to be pat searched may be denied access. A visitor may be denied if reasonable suspicion exists that the visitor might endanger the security of the facility. A record shall be made of each denial and the reason, therefore. Any visitor believed to be intoxicated may be refused.
Please place photo ID and all money prior to visitation in the pass through. All money must be left at the start of visitation, we will NOT accept money after the visitation is complete. We will only accept money left for the inmate whom you are visiting and you may pick up your receipt and your ID after the visitation is complete.
The only items we accept coming into the jail at visitation is cash and personal whites. All whites must be new and in the package. All other items must have prior approval by Jail Lt. Thomas Raymond.
